MODERN ASTROPHYSICIST: NEIL DEGRASSE TYSON

Neil deGrasse Tyson is an astrophysicist, cosmologist, author, and science communicator. He was born in Manhattan, New York City and graduated from The Bronx High School of Science. Havard University is where he completed his bachelor's degree in physics. He recieved a masters degree in astronomy at the University of Texas at Austin in 1983. Later on, he earned his master's and doctorate in astrophysics at Columbia University. He has been the Frederick P. Rose director of the Hayden Planetarium at the Rose Center for Earth and Space in New York City since 1996. There he founded the Department of Astrophysics in 1997. He had been a research associate in that department since 2003. Today he has his own podcast called "Startalk".
